MEET THE TEAM!

Hi! My name is Sanjitha Prabakaran and I am the Founder and CEO of STEM 4 Scouts. After falling in love with coding but being met with unequal gender and racial representation in computer science, I sought to give girls of all backgrounds support and early encouragement into the field. I developed a scalable model of in-person and virtual workshops to help thousands of Girl Scouts nationally and internationally earn their “Coding for Good” badges and use their Girl Scouts platform to encourage other girls to explore with STEM.

I am in 12th grade at the Academy for Engineering and Technology in the IT Pathway, having taken courses in Advanced Machine Learning, App Development, and AP Computer Science. I am fluent in programming languages and frameworks such as Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, and React Native.

I am also a passionate instructor, working at local educational facilities for kids to learn programming. In addition to my academic, non-profit, and work responsibilities, I enjoy competing in CyberPatriot, leading my school Girls Who Code club, volunteering at the library, and participating as a peer leader in Sources of Strength, a teen suicide prevention program.
