OUR MISSION
We are a non-profit program dedicated to bringing computer science education to Girl Scouts. We have helped over 5,250 Girl Scouts earn their STEM-related badges through in-person and now virtual workshops!
Our goal is for young girls to get early exposure to STEM to build early passions in subjects that they otherwise would not have the opportunity to experience. We target Girl Scouts specifically because we intend to further the Girl Scouts of USA’s organization-wide mission to instill confidence and passion in young girls.
WHAT WE DO
ALL STEM 4 Scouts services are FREE!
VIRTUAL WORKSHOPS
Workshops consist of 3 main aspects to help scouts earn their STEM badges: discussion about computer science principles, coding project walkthroughs, and female guest speakers in tech. Coding projects are tailored around badge requirements.
We work with troop leaders to host individual troop sessions as well as councils nationwide to organize larger events.
Girl Scouts earn their badge in just an hour and always leave with a smile!
EARN YOUR BADGE INDEPENDENTLY!
All materials used in virtual workshops are also housed in a Google Classroom that Girl Scouts can access to independently complete their badges. The coding project tutorial is simply pre-recorded rather than live. Participants can post questions and receive additional information about future opportunities.
